Teresa Endsley

Dr. Teresa Gay Endsley, PhD, PsyD, LPC, age 60, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after a lengthy illness surrounded by family. Teresa was born June 3, 1965 in Monroe, LA to Rev. Ralph L. and Olivia Endsley.

Teresa Endsley, a woman of unwavering love, quiet strength, and boundless selflessness.

Fiercely loyal and endlessly patient, Teresa lived her life guided by faith, family, and compassion. A lover of music from an early age, she studied Music Education at the University of Louisiana Monroe, where she remained a proud alumna throughout her life. She later achieved her doctoral degree at Capella University, a testament to her determination and devotion to learning.

Teresa had a lifelong love for horses, and fondly told stories of her horse, Dude, who she always claimed was her first boyfriend. She carried that same joy and gentleness into every relationship, becoming known by all who knew her as a calming force who guided with ease. Even throughout her illness, she put others before herself, continuing to encourage and care for those around her.

She was devoted above all to her children and adored her grandchild, M.J., for whom she would do anything. She left sweet reminders of herself everywhere she went; Hershey’s Kisses tucked in her purse, the lingering scent of lavender, and whispered prayers always on her lips.

Her legacy is one of quiet faith, steadfast love, and the way she made others feel seen, comforted, and cared for.

Teresa will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her parents; two daughters Hadassah Lester (Tommy), and Judith Warren (Nathan); one son Micah Endsley; one grandchild M. J. Lester; one sister Dana Strickland (Simeon); as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral Services in her honor will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 20, 2025 at AOM, 5919 DeSiard St. Monroe, LA 71203, interment following at Spring Hill Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 until time of service at the church.
